1 st Transnational Meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220 “AutisMath” Project Held in Trabzon
The 1 st transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220 School Education project entitled “AutisMath: Innovative Mathematics Activities and Digital Applications for Children with Autism,” supported by the Turkish National Agency and coordinated by the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education, was held between 3–5 February 2026, hosted by the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education.

The international meeting brought together two special education teachers from Budapest, Hungary; one special education teacher from Belgrade, Serbia; one Regional Director of National Education and two project experts from Lamia, Greece; one academic from Guarda, Portugal; one academic from Trabzon University; the president of the LEGADDER Association and one academic, as well as five teachers from Erdoğdu Special Education Practice School.

The project, carried out with the participation of eight partners from five different countries, aims to develop intelligence games–based mathematics activities and digital applications for primary school students (aged 6–10) diagnosed with mild Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The project also plans to implement these materials in classroom settings and to examine the effects of the developed outputs on students’ academic achievement and learning processes.

Through this project, it is aimed to support the mathematics learning experiences of students with special needs through more enjoyable, innovative, and inclusive methods, while also strengthening international cooperation in the field of special education..
